The Main Event: The Baker vs. The Cop

Because nothing says leadership like dough and donuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, hold onto your hats because the mayoral race in the Village is heating up like a ShopRite rotisserie chicken!

In one corner we have Charlie, wielding his bossy "police mentality" like a badge of honor, barking orders and scolding anyone who dares step out of line. In the other, there’s Jen, armed with her sparkling ShopRite customer service experience —because nothing prepares you for running a municipality like baking donuts and handing out coupons with a forced smile.

Both are on a mission to "save the Village," multitasking like pros: one hand scrubbing away the grime of mismanagement, the other wagging fingers at everyone else for not falling in line. Let’s not forget their impressive finance skills. Jen’s claim? Years on the village board’s finance committee — though apparently, not enough years to distinguish between a budget and a financial disaster waiting to implode. Meanwhile, Charlie insists he’s a wizard with numbers because he can read reports and interpret them in six languages. Being a "certified number specialist" would be impressive, if that was a thing.

Neither of them is exactly "mayoral material," but they sure will wrestle it out to the bitter end. How many rounds will it take before the real financial heavyweight steps into the ring? Forget the WWF — this fight for the Village might end up being a VFW slapdown.

Stay tuned, folks!
